Scaramouche Gallery at VOLTA NY. March 2009

At the second edition of Volta New York, the Gallery presented an installation of the work of Russian artist, Dmitry Gutov (Moscow, 1960). Incorporating various media, the project, "Relativism is dialectics for idiots", was curated by Lorenzo Bruni. As an echo of VoltaNY's title, " Age of Anxiety ", Gutov's work suggested a dialogue on the modernist legacy, power, and knowledge as power and control.
